Product Manager Acceleration BU Test & Measurement

The Product Manager Acceleration provides global support to Sales for the Acceleration Portfolio from the Production Center in Buffalo, NY where most of these product lines are manufactured. The PM will respond to requests for technical information regarding the Acceleration product lines, and their applications. The PM is also responsible for the strategic roadmap, initiates new development projects and promoting actively the Launch of his new Products, to pursue to grow the global acceleration sensor market and strengthen the portfolio.

Purpose of the position

- Develop and strengthen the acceleration product portfolio.- Strategic planning of portfolio as well as definition of product roadmaps- Initiation and support of product development from the concept phase to market launch, product maintenance and support- Support of the marketing and sales organizations in product marketing- Initiation and support of the service organization in the development of product-related services

Your typical day

- Develop and maintain the product portfolio for acceleration products and the various applications connected to the product line. Definition of product roadmap for product line “Acceleration”- Product definition / specification for new products and mentoring product development projects from concept to market introductionaccording to PLC4.0 process- Maintain product along the product lifecycle until phase-out.Define actions/directions for product maintenance in cooperation with TEC engineering- Set product pricing in accordance with strategy and group rules- Provide forecast, budget and mid-term planning figures to P&L- Technical / administrative support of sales centers worldwide for acceleration products (across all BUs and OEs). Act as interface between global SC’s and CC/PC-BUF for inquiries and orders. - Technical / administrative support of Business Drivers of BU T&M- Support for internal and external training and provide training documents- Market communication: Provide documentation for marketing and sales purposes. Support of various marketing actions.- Customer specific product/projects: Support Sales / Business Drivers in establishing business cases and proposals, make decision go/nogo according to strategy and divisional/group rules

Your profile

- Strong technical background (BSc or MSc in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering), optionally complemented with a business-management education- At least 3 years experience in product management and/or sales and marketing- Strongstrategical analytical skills- Specialized knowledge on measurement technology, preferably on piezoelectric measurement technology- Application knowhow on measurement technology in several areas preferably Aerospace or Automotive- Interdisciplinary skills and interests in market-strategic, commercial and technical questions- Goal oriented and ability to take initiatives- Good verbal and written communication skills in English- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and internationalteam- Willingness to travel locally or internationally (30%)
