Purpose of the position
The Product Owner is responsible to drive that the solution created by the Development Team aligns with the product vision and delivers the best value to the business. This role also encompasses full responsibility for the assigned products, including developing and implementing a mid- and long-term vision, ensuring robust architecture, and coordinating functionalities with other product families.
Your typical day
- Owner of the Platform Software Products and driver of the vision for owned products
- Ensure a robust architecture and coordinate functionalities and interfaces with other products.
- Develop and implement a mid- and long-term vision for products reflecting the group strategy.
- Provide a business perspective for day-to-day decisions.
- Shape the Product Backlog in line with the Product Vision to ensure the most valuable aspects are developed and delivered early.
- Ensure the Product Backlog is visible and communicated to all stakeholders.
- Prioritize backlog items regularly to ensure, that energy and resources has the most effective flow towards delivered value.
- Determine needs from other product families and formulate new requirements at the Feature level.
- Own and manage the Product Backlog and clearly express its items to the team regularly.
- Describe business scenarios to help define and test the solution.
- Ownership of (continuous) release of every new functionality/feature.
- Ability of balance between development and maintenance work, including QA of product features.
- Ensure that documentation of the features is available and up to date.
- Ensure backwards compatibility of platform features.
Your profile
- Proven experience as a Product Owner/Manager in an Agile/Scrum environment (ideally SAFe).
- Strong technical background with knowledge of robust architecture principles and coordination of functionalities across products.
- Deep knowledge of networking, connectivity protocols and standards
- Strong understanding of product and platform development processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions to maximize product value.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with release planning, quality assurance, and maintaining documentation.
- Good knowledge of Cloud computing and IoT
- Embedded systems knowledge
