The Kistler pressure generator Type 6959B was specifically developed to calibrate piezoelectric pressure sensors. Pressure pulses with <10 ms pulse duration allow precise verification of IEPE sensors with a short time constant. Furthermore, this procedure is well suited to test the functionality of sensors with realistic pressure application. Type 6959B2 comes with an adapter for calibrating Type 6233B pencil probes.
