The primary authority on the Linux kernel and hardware-to-software communication. This role is responsible for the lowest layers of the stack, ensuring the OS is correctly configured for the target hardware and that performance is optimized at the driver level.

- Development and maintenance of Board Support Packages (BSPs) and product-specific Linux drivers based on a shared, reusable firmware platform.
- Hardware-near bring-up and debugging of new ARM and x86 hardware platforms.
- Integration, configuration, and maintenance of Linux kernel, bootloaders (e.g., U-Boot), device trees, and security components (Secure Boot, Verified Boot).
- Maintenance and updating of the Yocto-based build environment, including security-patch management and vulnerability fixing.
- Support for internal development, testing, and production teams on embedded Linux and platform-related topics throughout the product lifecycle.

Must-Have
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a comparable technical field (ETH, University, FH).
- Several years of experience as a Senior Embedded Linux Engineer with a focus on hardware-near software development.
- Solid experience in BSP development, Linux kernel integration, and driver development.
- Practical experience with Yocto/BitBake and working with shared, reusable platform infrastructures.
- Experience with ARM and x86 hardware, as well as programming in C and Shell.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in hardware development or HW/SW co-design.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, and security scanning.
- User-space development under embedded Linux.
